Fundraisers

Through our fundraising efforts, the PTO sponsors activities that benefit SMS children of all grade levels. Some of the activities we help to support include assembly programs, art appreciation programs, field trips, and in-class educational enrichment programs.

Bonus Points/Earn Cash - Our school earns extra cash when you shop at participating retail locations. Register your store savings cards and you will be earning cash for SMS each time you shop. Often we earn points toward school equipment for every dollar you spend. Keep an eye out for specially marked products that earn extra "Bonus Points" too.

Box Tops for Education - Don't forget to clip the coupon on various General Mill products. Please check out www.boxtops4education.com where you can purchase from 175 retailers. Our school can earn a percentage of these daily purchases - why not help the kids at the same time?

Scholastic Book Fair - Our annual book sale benefits SMS and Children’s House of Auburn classrooms and the library while encouraging the students to read. This sale is held during the first week of December. Volunteers will be needed for setup, sales, Story Time, etc.

Square One Art - Get your crayons and markers ready. Each year we have the opportunity to preserve our childrens' gorgeous artwork and even share it with others. Square1 Art provides us a vehicle to have reproductions of our childrens work in the form of notecards, frameable pictures and lots more.

St. Anne's Turkey Baskets - In our continued spirit of sharing with our greater Worcester and Shrewsbury communities, SMS participates in the St. Anne Thanksgiving Basket Drive. Over 500 local families will receive food baskets for Thanksgiving. The food donated by your family and from your home goes directly to homes and families in the greater Worcester and Shrewsbury area.

Friendly House - The Friendly House, a United Way agency that supports a number of shelters in the Worcester area. During the Holiday season, we organize a drive for gently used household items for the shelter, and new toys for the annual Holiday party. All families are encouraged to donate and both children and parents are invited to volunteer to usher and hand out toys during a very entertaining Holiday party complete with dancing, singing, comedy, clowns and Santa.

Donations of Goods and Services - Throughout the year, the PTO needs donations of goods and services for raffles at our family events.
