PTO Parent Volunteers

As an SMS parent, you are already a member of the PTO! The ideas and energy come from you, the parents and teachers who volunteer their valuable time. Throughout the year we need additional assistance and committee chairs for various events and fundraisers. By donating a few hours of your time, you can make a measurable difference in the success of our events.

Attend a PTO meeting or contact us, and we will be able to find one of our needs that matches your skill and personality.

We want our volunteers to organize around their passions, so if there’s something you have to offer and we’re too foolish to ask for it, please take the initiative and let us know! We're always open to suggestions for new events and fundraisers.

Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:

• Serve on one of our standing committees (Fall Auction, Book Fair, Square1 Art, Spring Family Social)
• Volunteer as a room parent;
• Help with or participate in fund-raising events;
• Ask a local business or corporation to make a tax-deductible donation to the school;
• Make a tax-deductible monetary gift to the school’s annual fund.
